i have always had a love for photography. i have been framing things in my mind's eye for as long as i can remember.
after college i worked in graphic design but it never fulfilled my desire to be creative. designing point of purchase displays is not as sexy as it sounds. as i muddled through various jobs, deep down i knew i was not living up to my full potential.
after the birth of my first child, i became a stay-at-home mom. with each child after (there are 3 little ericksons) my love for photography and capturing them in the moment intensified.
with my first d-slr purchase came the ability to attain high quality prints and combine my editing skills. my house soon became my own gallery, where i happily hosted play dates and adult happy hours, thinking i finally found my niche.
it wasn't long before i had friends asking me to photograph their children and LE Photography took off from there. i can't really say it was a difficult learning curve. i instantly felt natural behind the lens of my camera in new settings, with children i just became acquainted with.
so three-plus decades later, i am finally realizing my full potential and doing what i love. having the opportunity to capture the small moments in childhood is something i treasure.
